Jacobsen relaxation

The purpose of this method is to voluntary reduce the muscle tension at rest.

To relax according to Jacobson, is not to learn how to sleep or to rest but more to learn how to behave in an efficient manner, to save energy in order to get better results. This is s a method of progressive relaxation where you learn to realise the difference between conscious and unconscious tensions in the body.

To be aware and change if a specific muscle doesn't need to be tense is a huge step to well-being.
